The European project “INCLUSIVE TOURISM” organizes Co-Creation Sessions with Persons with Disabilities and Professionals of the Tourism Sector

INCLUSIVE TOURISM is launched with the main objective of increasing the competences of Persons with Disabilities and Professionals in the Tourism Sector for improving their employability within Inclusive and Accessible Tourism Sector.

INCLUSIVE TOURISM is a project Co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union (2017-1-ES01-KA202-038574) that will run between October 2017 and September 2019

INCLUSIVE TOURISM is launched with the main objective of increasing the competences of Persons with Disabilities and Professionals in the Tourism Sector for improving their employability within Inclusive and Accessible Tourism Sector.

The project has the next specific objectives:

  • To raise awareness about the capabilities for employment of Persons with Disabilities within Inclusive Tourism and to enhance their access to labor market.
  • To raise awareness about the potential of Inclusive and Accessible Tourism for the competitiveness of the Tourism Sector.
  • To develop training contents, material and tools addressed to Persons with Disabilities based on the proper adaptation of Supported Employment Model to real and specific contexts.
  • To transfer knowledge and guidelines addressed to Professionals of the Tourism Sector about how to develop successful business models within Inclusive and Accessible Tourism Sector and how to support Persons with Disabilities as potential employees.
  • To boost the cooperation among Tourism Sector Enterprises and entities working in the field of supporting Persons with Disabilities
  • To aware potential Customers about the potential of Inclusive and Accessible Tourism Sector and how to get access to it

As part of the development of the Methodological Guide of the project, several Co-Creation Sessions has been organized in Spain, Portugal and Slovenia where Persons with Disabilities and Professionals of the Tourism Sector have delivered their knowledge and opinions about how to build a proper training methodology

INCLUSIVE TOURISM is implemented by an international Consortium, including Chamber of Commerce of Valencia and AMICA (Spain); CERCIGUI and PERFIL (Portugal); CUDV DRAGA and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia - Institute for Business Education (Slovenia)
